The PowerBook's processor speed isn't as good as the best Windows machines, and its CD-burner isn't superfast. But I'll get to transfer data through something called "FireWire" instead of "USB." I'll bask in the glow of my backlit keyboard. I will connect wirelessly through "Airport Extreme." As my colleague Om Malik says, "Now you are one of the elite, instead of one of the masses.
